Electric Bike Store Fire in Dak Lak Destroys Significant Assets

A large fire broke out at an electric bike store in Dak Lak province, in Vietnam's Central Highlands, destroying numerous assets. The blaze occurred on the night of September 3rd in Tuy An Nam commune (formerly Phu Yen). Around 10 PM, flames erupted at the two-story store located within a residential area. The store, spanning over 200 square meters, used its ground floor to sell bicycles, electric bikes, and motorcycle parts. Within minutes of ignition, the majority of the store was engulfed in flames, with thick black smoke billowing into the sky. Witnesses reported hearing several loud explosions from the scene. Nearby residents noticed the fire, attempted to extinguish it, and alerted the authorities. More than 10 firefighters and fire trucks were dispatched to the scene. The fire was largely controlled within approximately 20 minutes. No casualties were reported, but significant assets inside the store were destroyed, with some vehicles reduced to their frames. According to Mr. Phat, a resident living near the scene, three people inside the store managed to escape safely when the fire started. The store's location next to an empty plot of land helped prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring houses.
