Yangon-Pyay DEMU train to start running on July 31

Myanma Railways has announced that the Yangon-Pyay DEMU train will commence running starting from the upcoming July 31. The No. 73 Up Yangon-Pyay DEMU train will depart from Yangon Central Station at 5:30 AM and arrive at Pyay Station at 11:30 AM. The No. 74 Down Pyay-Yangon DEMU train will depart from Pyay Station at 1:00 PM and arrive at Yangon Central Station at 7:00 PM. The Yangon-Pyay-Yangon DEMU train that will be running will consist of two first-class coaches and four second-class coaches. It is said that 66 passengers can ride in first class and 224 passengers can ride in second class. The fares are set at 20,000 Kyats for first class and 15,000 Kyats for second class. The train will stop at Tanbingone, Thayawady, Lephadan, Minla, Kyawpenkoke, Nathtalin, and Poanndi stations. Tickets for the No. 73 Up / No. 74 Down Yangon-Pyay-Yangon DEMU train, which will start running, and the currently running No. 71 Up / No. 72 Down Yangon-Pyay-Yangon airbag train can be purchased online from 1:00 AM on July 25 via the ORTP website. It is understood that tickets for the entire journey can be purchased seven days in advance, and tickets for intermediate stations can be purchased five days in advance.
