Foreign Tourists Clash Over Grilled Corn Queue in Bali: Police Investigating

A video depicting a fierce brawl between what appear to be two foreign tourists has gone viral on social media in Bali, Indonesia, sparking widespread discussion. The incident occurred in the popular Canggu area, a resort destination in southern Bali. Social media users widely speculated that the fight was triggered by a dispute over a queue at a grilled corn stall. However, local police have indicated that the situation may be more complex than initially reported. An official from the Badung Resort Police stated that the identities of the two individuals involved in the brawl are still unknown. It has also been clarified that the incident took place approximately two weeks prior to the viral video, in the early hours of a Sunday. The location is reported to be in front of a bar on Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong in Canggu. Furthermore, police have interviewed Safarudin, a grilled corn vendor who witnessed the event. According to his statement, the brawl occurred suddenly and was not directly related to a dispute over grilled corn. The vendor reported witnessing the two women begin arguing but was unaware of the cause and attempted to separate them. Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the incident. As of now, no official complaint or report has been filed with the police by either of the individuals involved, though there are suggestions one may have been an Indonesian citizen. The police are currently gathering information to ascertain the exact cause and facts of the incident.
