Discussions also covered strengthening cooperation in various fields, including defense and security, United Nations peacekeeping operations, and the prevention and combating of organized transnational crime. This meeting marks a significant step towards further deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. Vietnam, under its one-party system, continues to prioritize building international relations while pursuing economic growth. Strengthening ties with European nations, in particular, holds strategic importance for both economic diversification and geopolitical balance. Relations with France, which have deep historical roots, are progressing across a wide range of areas, including economy, culture, and security. During the visit, the top Vietnamese leader also attended an official welcome ceremony at the Élysée Palace and laid a wreath at the Ho Chi Minh Monument, symbolizing the respect and friendly relations between the two nations.
