According to the announcement, vehicle owners wishing to have the system installed will need to bring their smartphones, the vehicle to be installed, and their vehicle registration certificate from the Vehicle Registration Authority (Kanyar) to use the TollPass RFID system. The TollPass registration process involves registering via smartphone and installing the application, recording vehicle information, affixing an RFID sticker to the vehicle, and requiring a minimum advance top-up of K50,000 for the TollPass Unit TPU. Additionally, a service fee of K20,000 for one year will be charged for the RFID sticker. Once the TollPass system is installed, vehicles entering the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway will be required to drive at a maximum speed of 20 kilometers per hour in the dedicated TollPass lane at the toll gates. As soon as the vehicle enters, the gate will automatically open, allowing continuous travel without the need to queue for toll payment. Initially, payments for TollPass RFID will be accepted in cash. However, it has also been announced that payments will soon be possible through online payment systems such as MMQR, KBZ Pay, AYA Pay, and WAVE Pay.
