Cambodia Concludes 3rd Medical Rescue Training Course for Military Units

The 4th Military Region of Cambodia held a closing ceremony for the 3rd training course for medical rescue personnel on August 3, 2026, at the 4th Infantry School in Siem Reap province. The ceremony was presided over by Brigadier General Chhuoy Seiha, Deputy Commander of the 4th Military Region, representing Lieutenant General Pou Heng, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Army and Commander of the 4th Military Region. Also in attendance were Mr. Samkol Suchitra, Deputy Governor of Siem Reap Provincial Administration; representatives from the Siem Reap Provincial Department of Health, Siem Reap Provincial Referral Hospital; Deputy Directors from the Department of Health of the Ministry of National Defence and the General Staff Department of Health; Deputy Director of the Army Health Office; Commanders and Deputy Commanders; Chief of Staff and Deputy Chiefs of Staff; the 41st and 42nd Infantry Divisions; the four Military Sub-regions; Border Defence Force Units 402 and 403; various offices and the Secretariat; the Director of the 4th Infantry School; hospital directors; and other subordinate units of the 4th Military Region. Colonel Kim Sokha Rith presented a welcome speech and a report on the closing of the 3rd medical rescue training course for units under the 4th Military Region in 2026. One trainee, representing fellow participants, pledged to continue studying and researching to further enhance their skills and contribute effectively to their units. They also vowed to strictly abide by the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia, military regulations, and internal discipline, and to stay away from all types of illicit drugs. Furthermore, they pledged absolute loyalty to the nation, religion, king, and the Cambodian government led by Prime Minister Hun Manet. Brigadier General Chhuoy Seiha advised the trainees to continue diligently studying and researching to strengthen their expertise, thereby contributing to the enhancement of human resources within the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and bolstering national defense. He also emphasized the importance of properly maintaining all equipment and being prepared to respond to directives from superiors for the timely rescue of comrades and citizens affected by potential natural disasters.
