Indian Naval Ship Departs Cambodian Waters After Four-Day Visit
The Indian naval corvette INS KULISH departed Cambodian waters on September 15th, concluding a four-day official visit to the Ream Naval Base. During its stay, the Indian delegation held meetings with Cambodian defense officials, and friendly activities and experience-sharing sessions were conducted between the two navies.
On the morning of Tuesday, September 15, 2026, an Indian naval ship, INS KULISH (P63), under the command of Captain SURAJ KUMAR SINGH, safely departed from the territorial waters of the Kingdom of Cambodia after completing a four-day visit. The ship had docked at the Ream Naval Base in Ream commune, Sihanoukville province. The Indian naval warship's visit to the Ream Naval Base in Sihanoukville was the first of its kind. The departure was seen off by senior officers of the Ream Naval Base, led by Rear Admiral IN SOKKHEMARA, Deputy Commander of the Ream Naval Base. During its stay at the Ream Naval Base, the Indian naval delegation paid courtesy calls to provincial leaders of Sihanoukville, the Commander of the Ream Naval Base, and several high-ranking officials from the Ministry of National Defence. Friendly sporting events and experience-sharing exercises were also conducted between the navies of the two countries, fostering close ties. INS KULISH is a Corvette-class warship, identified as P63. It measures 91.16 meters in length, 10.46 meters in width, and has a draft of 4.27 meters. Its displacement is 1,449 tons, and it is crewed by 120 officers and 120 sailors, commanded by Captain SURAJ KUMAR SINGH.
