Battambang Province Distributes Land Titles to 2,626 Families

Battambang Province Governor Sok Lu presided over a ceremony on August 3, 2026, in Phnum Proek District, Battambang Province, distributing a total of 4,923 land ownership certificates to 2,626 families in Damnak Beng, Damnak Khsan, Ou Da, and Boa villages of Boa Commune. During the event, Governor Sok Lu advised the recipients to carefully preserve their land titles and refrain from selling or mortgaging their land, encouraging them to pass it on to their children and grandchildren. Families identified as poor or vulnerable by the Ministry of Planning were exempted from land title service fees. General households were charged 4 riels per square meter for agricultural land and 30 riels per square meter for construction land. The governor also urged the residents to respect traffic laws, stay away from drugs, maintain environmental hygiene, and plant trees and fruit-bearing crops around their homes. He encouraged them to remain united and express confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet. Citizens expressed their happiness and gratitude to Prime Minister Hun Manet for providing valuable land titles that can be used for their benefit and passed down through generations.
