Vietnam Tax Department Holds Presentation Training for Global Forum Engagement

On September 23rd, at its headquarters, the Vietnam Tax Department organized a presentation skills training for its staff in preparation for upcoming work with a delegation from the Global Forum. This training aims to enhance the professional knowledge and skills necessary for the smooth execution of the evaluation team's on-site work concerning data security and safety. This initiative is part of broader efforts to improve information disclosure and transparency in tax administration. Specifically, it involves promoting the "cleaning up" of taxpayer identification numbers and the overall transparency of information management. This is underscored by the increasing importance of data accuracy and security in light of the digitalization and advancement of tax administration in recent years. Furthermore, the upgrade of IT systems to enhance efficiency and modernize tax administration is being accelerated. Efforts are underway to transition to systems incorporating the latest technologies to comply with new tax regulations. Additionally, to strengthen support for taxpayers, information dissemination and consultation services through live streaming are being actively provided. As Vietnam continues its economic growth under a one-party system, there is a growing demand to improve the quality of administrative services in line with international standards and to engage in international cooperation on data protection. Particularly, in the context of its complex relationship with China, strengthening data management systems is a crucial issue from an economic security perspective.
