An elderly man, identified as Untui (70), has been found dead at a forest and land fire (karhutla) site in Dusun Labang, Desa Labang, Kecamatan Belimbing, Melawi Regency, West Kalimantan (Kalbar). Police are investigating the cause of his death. "The victim was found at the fire location, not far from the motorcycle he was using," he stated. Police are still investigating the incident. The Melawi Police Criminal Investigation Unit, along with the Belimbing Police Sector, are handling the case and investigating the sequence of events leading to the victim's discovery. Samsi emphasized that police cannot yet conclude the cause of death. "It cannot be concluded yet. This is because the victim routinely farmed and raised livestock at the location of the fire," he explained. Prior to his death, information circulated that Untui had informed his wife he was going to his farm to feed his pet cat, which had not been fed for about three days. The victim's farm is located next to the Nanga Pinoh-Sintang Provincial Road in Dusun Labang, Desa Labang. However, this information has not yet led to a conclusion regarding the cause of Untui's death.
