Ho Chi Minh City Factory Producing Nearly 50,000 Pairs of Counterfeit Nike Shoes Discovered

In Ho Chi Minh City, southern Vietnam, market management authorities, acting on information provided by U.S. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), have discovered a factory involved in the production of counterfeit branded goods. Approximately 50,000 pairs of shoes bearing counterfeit Nike, Nike Air, and Air Jordan trademarks were found to have been manufactured at this facility, with indications that they were intended for export to the United States. This bust is part of the authorities' ongoing efforts to combat intellectual property infringement and the manufacturing and distribution of counterfeit products within Vietnam. While Vietnam has experienced rapid economic growth in recent years, the production and export of imitations and counterfeit goods have become an international concern. Brand counterfeiting, particularly in consumer goods sectors like apparel and footwear, not only causes damage to domestic and international companies but also erodes consumer trust.
