Vietnamese Navy Rescues Stranded Tourist, Hands Over to Border Guards

On August 9, in the waters off Da Nang, Ship 629 belonging to Naval Region 3 of the Vietnam Navy rescued a foreign tourist who had encountered trouble and handed her over to the Border Guard ship of the Border Guard Brigade 2, under the Command of the Da Nang City Military. Previously, Ship 629 received orders to participate in the search and rescue of 4 tourists in distress in the waters off Da Nang. Immediately after receiving the mission, the officers and soldiers on board urgently mobilized to the scene, implemented search and rescue plans, organized observation and sweeping of the sea surface, and coordinated with functional forces. During the search, officers and soldiers of Ship 629 discovered, rescued, and brought a female tourist aboard. The victim received care, health checks, moral support, and essential necessities. After agreeing on a plan with the functional forces, Ship 629 proceeded to hand over the rescued tourist to the border guards at sea for them to bring ashore for continued care and support. Upon completion of the handover, Ship 629 continued to maintain forces and means at the scene, urgently deploying to search for the remaining missing persons. The officers and soldiers on board organized searches in their assigned areas, maintained observation and sweeping of the sea surface, and closely coordinated with the rescue forces, striving to find the missing victims as soon as possible.
