China's SF Holding Expresses Interest in Investing in Cambodia's Logistics Sector

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet met with Mitchell Mao, CEO of China's leading logistics company SF Holding Co., Ltd., on July 17. Mao informed the Prime Minister that SF Holding is a leading company in China, with core businesses in express and heavy freight transportation, cold chain logistics, intra-city on-demand delivery, supply chain management, and international services. The company currently operates in the Asia-Pacific region and intends to expand its investments into Southeast Asia. Based on its research into Cambodia's logistics capabilities and the consistent growth in bilateral trade between China and Cambodia, SF Holding has expressed strong interest in seeking investment opportunities within the logistics sector in Cambodia. In response, Prime Minister Hun Manet highly praised the success of SF Holding and welcomed the company's intention to explore investment opportunities in Cambodia's logistics sector. He emphasized the government's commitment to building and strengthening infrastructure, focusing on improving the connectivity of land, air, and sea transportation networks to neighboring countries and the region. The Prime Minister added that the government is constructing additional expressways, modernizing the railway system, and building canals to enhance and support the transportation and logistics sector in Cambodia for greater efficiency. In conclusion, the Prime Minister encouraged SF Holding to continue its discussions with relevant ministries and institutions to further explore and pursue concrete investment opportunities in Cambodia.
