BCONS Explores Major Urban and Infrastructure Investments in Lam Dong

BCONS, a prominent Vietnamese construction and real estate developer, is actively exploring significant investments in urban development and infrastructure projects within Lam Dong province. The company has expressed particular interest in a coastal road construction project, estimated to cost approximately VND 9.5 trillion (around $370 million USD). This information was revealed during a meeting between the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee and BCONS on July 17. According to the Lam Dong Department of Construction, the province is currently seeking investment for a coastal road spanning approximately 14.6 kilometers with six lanes. The project is planned in five sections, connecting existing roads DT.706B to DT.719, and includes the construction of bridges over the Phu Hai and Ca Ty rivers. This initiative is expected to create about 84.8 hectares of reclaimed land, which will be designated for the development of new urban areas featuring high-rise housing, commercial services, parks, and transportation infrastructure. The coastal road is anticipated to boost tourism, enhance urban aesthetics, and promote the utilization of coastal land resources. In addition to the coastal area, BCONS was also introduced to a Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) urban project in Ham Hiep, covering nearly 200 hectares. This development is envisioned to connect with future high-speed north-south railway plans. Discussions also touched upon the Hung Vuong Park and the North Flood Drainage Urban Area, collectively spanning around 300 hectares. BCONS representatives stated that the company will continue to study the local master plans, natural conditions, and socio-economic environment before proceeding with further steps. The Lam Dong provincial authorities lauded BCONS' interest in investing in the province and directed relevant departments to support the company's surveys and information gathering to facilitate appropriate investment proposals. The province has pledged to cooperate and create favorable conditions for capable investors to participate in these projects, thereby contributing to the effective exploitation of the region's economic potential.
