Ho Chi Minh City Deploys Youth Volunteers to Maintain Order at Key Tourist Sites

The People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has approved the policy to deploy the Youth Volunteers (Thanh Nien Xung Phong) to maintain order and provide support at key tourist destinations with a high volume of visitors, including Vung Tau, Tam Thang, Long Hai, Ho Tram, and Con Dao. These areas, formerly part of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, attract numerous tourists during holidays, Tet, and weekends. The objective of this initiative is to strengthen the professional force responsible for ensuring tourist safety and assisting visitors, thereby contributing to the enhancement of the tourism environment's quality and building an image of a safe and friendly destination. The People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has requested relevant agencies and the authorities of the aforementioned communes, wards, and special zones to review and specifically identify the key tourist locations and routes where tourist order maintainers should be deployed. It is known that for many years, the model of tourist order maintainers has been implemented at 30 locations and 46 key tourist and famous sightseeing routes in the central area of Ho Chi Minh City, with nearly 250 tourist order maintainers.
