Fire Leaves 18 Families Homeless in Bohol Town

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol — At least 12 houses were destroyed and 18 families were left homeless after a fire broke out in Barangay Napo in Loon town, Bohol, on Tuesday, Sept. 1. The fire started shortly after 7 a.m. in Purok 3, according to Senior Fire Officer 3 Gregorio Langcamon Jr., fire marshal of Loon town. Langcamon said the cause of the fire is still under investigation. No casualties were reported in the incident. The affected families are now seeking temporary shelter while authorities assess the damage. Loon is a municipality in the northwestern part of Bohol island, primarily known for its agricultural and fishing communities.
