Forest Fires in Kapuas, Indonesia, Hampered by Difficult Terrain

Forest fires continue to rage in the remote areas of Kapuas Regency, Indonesia. A new fire outbreak in Katunjung Village, Mantangai District, which began on Friday (August 21), remained uncontrolled as of Saturday morning. Difficult terrain and poor communication networks are severely hampering firefighting efforts.
