It is understood that on this day (July 27), the Mawlamyine Township Judge issued an order at the Mawlamyine Township Court for the group of 54, including Daw Myat Than, to pay a fine of 100,000 kyats each, and that failure to pay the fine would result in a seven-day prison sentence. "It is understood that after the court session, Daw Myat Than and the group of 54 people proceeded to pay the fine," said one of the sources close to the court. According to information that spread on social media on July 24, on the No. 84 down DEMU express train traveling from Mawlamyine Station to Yangon Central Station, a group of 54 people, including one male and 53 females from the Mawlamyine Riverside Road Sports Team, led by a teacher named Daw Myat Than, were on the first-class carriages (3 carriages) purchased for 60 people. They were singing loudly on the train, sitting on the armrests of the train seats, blocking the aisles on the train floor and eating meals, and filming TikTok videos. When the train officials and railway police officers warned the group led by teacher Daw Myat Than to prevent disturbances to other passengers, they did not comply and continued their actions. It is reported that the train official in the locomotive had to issue warnings twice via the speaker.
