Cambodian Information Ministry Officials Complete Digital Media Training in India

Fourteen officials from Cambodia's Ministry of Information have successfully completed a specialized training course on "New Age Media and Information Technology." The program, held from September 14 to 25, 2026, took place at the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) in New Delhi, India. Upon completion, the participants expressed a strong commitment to applying their newly acquired knowledge and skills to enhance their work within their respective institutions in Cambodia. This significant training initiative was jointly organized by C-DAC and the Indian Institute of Creative Skills, under the umbrella of the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) program. During the course, the officials received hands-on training in various modern digital skills, including digital content creation, short video and Reels production using VFX technology and audio editing, web development, WordPress website creation, and data journalism. They also studied information technology laws, privacy rights, ethical standards, and fact-checking. Practical experience was gained through educational visits to major news editorial offices to understand the operational processes of modern media. The ITEC program is a significant initiative by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs for capacity building and human resource development, established in 1964. To date, it has trained over 225,000 officials from more than 160 countries worldwide. Cambodia annually sends approximately 300 officials to participate in various training courses under the ITEC program, contributing to Cambodia's human resource development. Source: AKP Khmer
