The Ministry of Youth Affairs held its 2026 Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremony in the Diplomatic Zone, Dekkhina Thiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw, on Monday. Vice Chairman (1) of Myanmar Youth Affairs Central Committee Union Minister Dr. Maung Thin attended the event, along with Deputy Minister U Sit Naing, Director General U Kyaw Soe Moe, deputy directors-general, directors and ministry staff. During the event, the Union Minister planted the teak sapling while officials and staff planted teak, mahogany and starflower tree saplings at designated locations. The event was held to promote a green and pleasant environment, help prevent natural disasters, and provide shade and heat resistance. A total of 240 tree saplings were planted.
