JICA Pledges Continued Support for Siem Reap Province Development
On July 20th, Mr. Sanui Kazumasa, Chief Representative of JICA Cambodia, met with Siem Reap Provincial Governor Prak Sokhon. JICA pledged continued cooperation across various sectors including education, health, tourism, agriculture, clean water, smart cities, and demining, emphasizing its contribution to the province's development.
On the afternoon of July 20, 2026, Mr. Prak Sokhon, Governor of Siem Reap Province, received Mr. Sanui Kazumasa, Chief Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Cambodia, for a courtesy call and working discussion to further enhance bilateral cooperation. Governor Prak Sokhon expressed his profound gratitude to JICA Cambodia for its consistent cooperation with the provincial administration, contributing to the continuous development of Siem Reap Province through the implementation of various projects in the fields of education, health, tourism, agriculture, clean water, smart city initiatives, and demining activities. Mr. Sanui Kazumasa, Chief Representative of JICA Cambodia, highly commended the development and progress of Siem Reap Province and pledged to continue bilateral cooperation with the provincial administration in the future. Governor Prak Sokhon extended his sincere thanks for the invaluable assistance provided by the Japanese government and people through JICA to Cambodia, and specifically to Siem Reap Province, over the past 30 years.
