Phnom Penh, August 6, 2026--On the afternoon of August 5, 2026, H.E. Chea Vandeth, Minister of Posts and Telecommunications (MPTC), held a courtesy and working meeting with H.E. Michel Parys, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Cambodia, at the MPTC headquarters. During the meeting, H.E. Minister warmly welcomed the Ambassador's visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia. On this occasion, H.E. the Ambassador praised the achievements Cambodia has made, including the prominent and aesthetically pleasing Techo International Airport. Taking advantage of the opportunity, H.E. the Minister and H.E. the Ambassador discussed and exchanged views on the 20th Francophonie Summit in 2026 and the FrancoTech event, for which Cambodia will be the host. Concurrently, H.E. the Minister shared the progress on the implementation of the "Verify" platform in Cambodia and its upcoming sharing with friendly countries. H.E. the Minister and H.E. the Ambassador also discussed the training of new leading digital technology human resources and initiated direct cooperation between the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology under the MPTC and universities in the Kingdom of Belgium for human resource training and professor exchange programs.
