Despite some misunderstandings from certain ASEAN countries, Myanmar is cooperating in a friendly manner, said Dr. Khai Khai Soe, spokesperson for the State President's Office. This was stated in response to a question from One News during a press conference held at the State President's Office in Nay Pyi Taw on June 30. Dr. Khai Khai Soe said that Myanmar maintains friendly relations and cooperates with ASEAN countries, including neighboring countries, and that Myanmar is proving itself through its actions. Regarding Myanmar, five points of ASEAN consensus were issued after the ASEAN Leaders' Meeting held in Indonesia in April 2021. Dr. Khai Khai Soe added that ASEAN countries are currently showing some changes in their stance, and there are moves to visit Myanmar for discussions.
