Bắc Ninh: Medical Support Program Honors Revolutionary Contributors

In Bắc Ninh province, Vietnam, a medical support program was organized to express gratitude towards revolutionary contributors and disadvantaged individuals. On July 26, 2026, at Châu Khê Secondary School in Phù Khê ward, the Vietnam Young Physicians Association, in coordination with the Bắc Ninh Provincial Youth Union and related units, organized the program "Towards a Healthier Vietnam in 2026." The activity is part of a series of events commemorating the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27) and concretizes Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW dated September 9, 2025, of the Politburo on "Some breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care, and improvement of people's health," which sets a goal for every citizen to undergo at least one health check-up and screening per year. At the program, Deputy Minister of Health Trần Văn Thuấn affirmed: "The sacrifices of previous generations have made peace today. Our responsibility is to protect those achievements with a more humane society, where every contributor is respected, every patient is cared for, and no one is left behind. Gratitude towards contributors should not only be expressed through words of remembrance on July 27 but primarily through concrete, practical, and regular actions." "For the health sector, this means providing more thorough healthcare for contributors, early detection and timely treatment of diseases, good management of chronic illnesses, rehabilitation, and helping the doctors, aunts, and uncles live healthily and joyfully with their families. The program of medical examination, medicine distribution, and gift-giving to honor revolutionary contributors, 'Towards a Healthier Vietnam in 2026,' is a practical activity embodying that spirit," Deputy Minister of Health Trần Văn Thuấn stated. During the program, the organizing committee provided medical examinations, health consultations, free medicine, and gifts to 500 contributors, policy beneficiaries, and residents in difficult circumstances in Bắc Ninh province. Alongside the medical examinations, gifts were presented to policy beneficiary families, including 50 bicycles for students, basic medical support equipment, and gifts for cancer patients. To ensure effective care for contributors, the Ministry of Health leadership requested the Bắc Ninh provincial health sector to continue focusing on managing the health of contributors, policy beneficiaries, the elderly, and at-risk groups at the grassroots level.
