Five Indian nationals have been arrested in the popular Thai resort city of Pattaya on suspicion of extortion and unlawful detention. The victims, also Indian nationals, were allegedly held for large ransom payments. Police conducted a swift investigation to resolve the case.
PATTAYA – Police have arrested five Indian men following a dramatic kidnapping investigation in the coastal resort city. Officers launched an urgent operation after receiving complaints that foreign tourists were being held against their will. The suspects allegedly targeted their own countrymen and demanded large cash payments for their safe release. Police successfully located the victims, who were also Indian nationals, and raided an apartment in Pattaya where they were being held. The five suspects were apprehended at the scene.
