Vietnam has emerged as the fifth cheapest country globally to purchase the latest iPhone 18 Pro, a testament to the nation's economic growth and increasing purchasing power. According to a recent study, the iPhone 18 Pro is priced competitively in Vietnam, ranking as the fifth most affordable worldwide. It stands out as the most accessible option in Asia, following the United States and Canada. Furthermore, Vietnam ranks as the third cheapest country in Southeast Asia for the iPhone 18 Pro Max (256GB version), trailing only Malaysia in the region. This pricing reflects Vietnam's economic standing, which is third in Southeast Asia by nominal GDP per capita, behind Singapore and Brunei. The price comparison was conducted by Japanese site Nukeni, which surveyed Apple Store prices across 37 countries and territories, converting them via current exchange rates. Apple unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max, and its first foldable smartphone, the Duo, in the U.S. on September 9. Reports indicate that following the launch, Apple quietly raised prices for the iPhone Air, 17, and 17e in Malaysia, with most variants seeing an increase. However, Vietnam's pricing for new models remains notably competitive. Pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro series opened in Vietnam on September 12, with sales commencing on September 18. The Duo is slated for release on October 23. Vietnam's single-party system has overseen remarkable economic growth in recent years, largely driven by manufacturing and exports. This has led to improved national income levels, making high-end products more accessible. Despite complex relations with China, Vietnam has benefited from supply chain diversification, maintaining economic stability.
