A Chinese delegation has visited Nophataw Village in Hlegu Township, Yangon Region, to conduct a preliminary assessment for the second phase of the East Asia Poverty Reduction Cooperation Project in Myanmar. The team, led by Mr. Tong Lang from China's International Poverty Reduction Cooperation Center (IPRCC), met with officials from Myanmar's Department of Rural Development before holding discussions with villagers on local development needs. From July 7 to 10, the delegation assessed priorities in areas including livelihoods, education, healthcare, and environmental protection, while also conducting site inspections and market studies. The delegation will also carry out similar assessments in Ayeyawady Region and Nay Pyi Taw before finalising the project's implementation plans.
