South Sumatra Forest Fires Burn 1,926 Hectares, Three Times the Size of Jakarta's Menteng District

Indonesia's National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) reported that forest and land fires (karhutla) in South Sumatra have burned approximately 1,926 hectares as of August 22, an area three times the size of Jakarta's Menteng district.
