Ho Chi Minh City, in coordination with relevant agencies, organized a conference on July 7th aimed at connecting businesses with international markets and enhancing their competitiveness. The event is designed to facilitate direct engagement between Vietnamese enterprises and foreign investors, international conglomerates, and investment and financial consulting organizations. This initiative seeks to bolster competitiveness and expand export markets. Ms. Cao Thị Phi Vân, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Trade and Investment Promotion Center, stated that the city is accelerating the disbursement of public investment and focusing on removing obstacles for projects. These efforts are expected to improve the investment and business environment, speeding up project implementation and fostering continued investment growth within the city. Furthermore, the city is actively developing the Ho Chi Minh City International Financial Center (VIFC-HCMC) with the goal of becoming a modern financial services hub. The development of a specific legal framework and green finance integrated with fintech is also underway. During the conference, experts analyzed market entry strategies and investment trends in Vietnam. The potential for inter-sectoral linkages was assessed, spanning areas from processed food and agricultural products to textiles, technology, and AI. Specialists highlighted key conditions and procedures that businesses must consider when seeking capital, as well as crucial aspects for enhancing competitiveness and accessing international markets. The organizing committee expressed its expectation that this conference will continue to serve as a vital link, supporting the city's business community in establishing direct connections with international financial institutions, consulting organizations, and investors.
