The PM praised his perseverance and pledged support for his university studies, also facilitating university admission for his sister who had faced financial barriers.
Prime Minister Hun Sen met on Tuesday morning, September 15, 2026, with student Van Senva, who transformed his grade from an 'F' in 2025 to an 'A' in 2026 for the high school exit examinations. According to the Prime Minister's Office, the meeting was also attended by Senva's parents and his elder sister. During the meeting, Prime Minister Hun Sen not only provided guidance for Van Senva's university studies but also arranged for his elder sister, who had passed the 2025 exams but lacked the financial means to pursue higher education, to also be admitted to university. Van Senva, a student at Hun Sen Chumpuvorn High School in Phnom Penh, failed the high school exit examination in 2025. However, he was determined to persevere, study diligently, and ultimately achieved an 'A' grade in the 2026 examination. This serves as an excellent example for all Cambodian youth, demonstrating that results do not betray hard work.
