Cambodian National Assembly President Attends Celebration of 77th Anniversary of People's Republic of China

Cambodian National Assembly President Khuon Sudary presided over a grand celebration in honor of the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (October 1, 1949 - October 1, 2026). The event, organized by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Kingdom of Cambodia, took place on the evening of September 21, 2026, at the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra Hotel. Attendees included Mr. Wang Wentian, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Cambodia, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn, along with senior leaders from legislative and executive institutions, representatives of diplomatic missions, and various research institutions. The esteemed presence of the President of the National Assembly and senior Cambodian officials at this occasion demonstrates the highest regard for the "ironclad friendship" and the comprehensive strategic partnership between Cambodia and China, which centers on the interests of the people.
