Pout Sat Provincial Governor Visits Large Families, Delivers Aid from Prime Minister and Spouse
The Governor of Pout Sat Province visited two large families facing hardship in Bakan district, delivering aid from former Prime Minister Hun Sen and his wife, and current Prime Minister Hun Manet and his wife. Continued support for struggling families and opportunities for a new life were pledged.
On the morning of July 3, 2026, after concluding the inauguration ceremony for the Deputy Governor of Pout Sat City, HE Khoy Rida, Governor of Pout Sat Province, continued his tour to meet and deliver valuable gifts from Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Samdech Bun Rany Hun Sen, as well as Samdech Borvorithipadei Hun Manet and his wife Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, to two underprivileged families with many children in Bunknhar commune, Bakan district, Pout Sat Province. On this occasion, Mr. Khoy Rida conveyed the most compassionate regards and utmost concern from the Samdechs, who always think of the well-being of the citizens everywhere, especially families facing difficulties and those with many children. He emphasized that this is a policy and a high level of attention from the Samdechs, who always remind authorities at all levels to inspect and care for the living conditions of the people thoroughly, ensuring no citizen is left without attention, especially families with poor living conditions. Concurrently, the Provincial Governor advised the two families to maintain good health and urged local authorities to continue visiting and supporting them regularly until the children grow up and are capable of supporting the family's livelihood. As an encouragement and a new hope for their lives, Mr. Khoy Rida announced a plan to request principles from Samdech Bun Rany Hun Sen to bring these two large families to live in the "Bun Rany Sen Chey Damnak Treuyung" development area, located in Prengil commune, Phnom Kravanh district. This area has high potential, featuring schools, hospitals, pagodas, clean water, state electricity, and a pleasant climate. Notably, it includes housing and land for livelihood, enabling them to start a better new life. The gifts presented included: Family 1: Father Kea Chanthy, 46, and Mother Sem Sokhoeun, 44, residing in Krasang Kru village, Bunknhar commune (12 children): 300 kg of rice, 10 boxes of instant noodles, 4 jugs of soy sauce, 2 jugs of fish sauce, 1 large box of canned fish, 1 box of purified water, and 1,000,000 Riel. Family 2: Father Sat Sol, 45, and Mother Kong Soni, 46, residing in Rung village, Bunknhar commune (10 children): 80 kg of rice, 6 boxes of instant noodles, 2 jugs of fish sauce, and 500,000 Riel. Both families expressed immense joy and gratitude to Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Samdech Bun Rany Hun Sen, as well as Samdech Borvorithipadei Hun Manet and his wife Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, for their attention and support.
