In Chiang Rai, a man who lost his home to a fire had a new house built in just over two months, thanks to the collaborative efforts of local residents, students, and prison inmates. Remaining funds were used to support other victims and a hospital.
CHIANG RAI – A new home was officially handed over on July 14, 2026, to Mr. Sakda Wongsomboon, affectionately known as Uncle Loei, who lost his house to a fire. A sum of 20,000 THB was given to a soldier who also lost his home to fire. Additionally, 60,000 THB was donated to Wat Huay Pla Kang Hospital for public health support. Uncle Loei also received about 20,000 THB worth of daily living supplies for his new home. Governor Choosheep lauded the transparent management of public donations, emphasizing that a house built with love holds immense emotional value.
