Udon Thani Tackles Traffic Congestion and Narrow Roads, Pushing for 3D Transport Network for Flora Expo 2026

In Udon Thani Province, northeastern Thailand, concrete measures are being implemented to resolve the escalating issues of traffic congestion and narrow roads. These initiatives are aimed at preparing for the International Flora Exhibition to be held in the province in 2026. With a significant influx of visitors expected from both domestic and international sources for the expo, infrastructure development is considered a pressing necessity to ensure smooth logistics and transportation. Specifically, the plan is to promote the construction of a "three-dimensional transport network" that integrates land, rail, and air routes. This approach is intended to alleviate bottlenecks in the existing road infrastructure and expand traffic capacity. Detailed plans and budget allocations are expected to be finalized in the coming period.
