During the search, the body was found in a canal in Tu Chaung village, on Kan Myint Road, with bruises and injuries to the earlobes, and was discovered to have been discarded in a sack. According to a doctor's examination, the child had been sexually assaulted and died. In connection with this incident, a case was opened and is being investigated at the Tet Hsin Township Police Station in Htantabin Township under sections 302 and 392 of the Penal Code.
