Vietnam Army Conducts Training for Social Science and Humanities Instructors to Enhance Educational Quality

The General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army commenced a training course for social science and humanities instructors in military schools on August 3rd in Can Tho City. This training aims to update and deepen knowledge on the latest theoretical and practical developments in army building and national defense, innovations in education and training, Party lines and policies, state laws, and military and defense tasks. The course will discuss unified issues in social science and humanities education across military educational institutions, including military schools, secondary schools, and cadet schools. This is expected to contribute to improving the quality of education and training in military educational institutions overall. Lieutenant General Truong Thien To, Deputy Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, emphasized in his opening speech that this training is linked to the army-wide implementation of resolutions and conclusions from the Central Committee and the Military Commission regarding the fundamental and comprehensive renovation of education and training, the building of a revolutionary, regularized, elite, and modern army, and the promotion of digital transformation (DX), scientific and technological development, and innovation. Lieutenant General To highlighted the importance of updating knowledge on new thinking from the 14th National Party Congress, new perspectives and theoretical/practical issues in national construction and defense, especially in areas such as Party building and discipline, protecting the Party's ideological foundation, and scientific and technological development, innovation, and DX. He also called for further innovation in teaching methods, fostering critical thinking and independent research skills, strengthening the link between theory and practice, and increasing the application of digital technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and modern teaching tools. Furthermore, he urged participants and organizers to approach the training with a sense of responsibility, to diligently study materials, actively exchange opinions, share experiences, improve teaching methods, and enhance scientific research capabilities. This training is positioned as part of cultivating personnel who will contribute to Vietnam's defense strength and national development.
