Ortega Jr. Memorial Library, targeted for completion in time for the university’s 80th anniversary in February 2027, will feature a contemporary design with expansive windows and spacious interiors that maximize natural light, creating a calm environment for reading and academic work. Ortega said libraries have evolved beyond being repositories of printed books into hubs for accessing knowledge through reliable internet connectivity, digital resources, and comfortable study spaces. “That building can make them feel that they can.
