Dien Bien Province Honors Fallen Heroes on War Invalids and Martyrs' Day

Dien Bien Province in northwestern Vietnam held a memorial event on July 25, ahead of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day on July 27. Leaders from the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, along with representatives from various departments, paid their respects at the altars of President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap, and the province's fallen heroes. The commemoration was held in line with the Vietnamese nation's traditional moral principle of "When drinking water, remember its source." The province is urged to adopt breakthrough thinking to achieve its double-digit growth target. Furthermore, Dien Bien is actively collecting DNA samples from unidentified martyrs, with the excavation and sampling process beginning at 2,042 graves in the Doc Lap Martyrs' Cemetery. Additionally, Dien Bien Province is honoring exemplary blood donors as a contribution to the community and is determined to complete the construction of the Thanh Nưa boarding school for primary to high school students by July 30.
