As part of the exchange of functional-level visits between the Indian and Myanmar air forces, an Indian delegation led by Air Marshal Inderpal Sing Walia, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Air Command for the Indian Air Force arrived in Yangon on September 7th. They were welcomed at the airport by senior officers from the Tatmadaw (Air), the Indian Defence Attaché to Myanmar, and officials. On September 8, the Indian delegation visited Aircraft Production and Repair Base Headquarters and attended a dinner reception. On September 9th, the delegation paid courtesy call on Commander-in-Chief of the Myanmar Air Force Lt-Gen Tun Win at Bayintnaung Yeiktha in Nay Pyi Taw, and cordially discussed matters on friendship, understanding and enhance cooperation between the two Air Forces. The delegation also visited the National Defence College and had working luncheon at the Park Royal Hotel. During the visit, the delegation visited Shwe Dagon Pagoda, Uppatasanti Pagoda and Maravijaya Buddha Image, Bokyoke Market, Tomb of King Shah Zafar and National Museum. On September 11th, the delegation departed to India from Yangon International Airport and seen off by the senior officers from the Tatmadaw (Air), the Indian Defence Attaché to Myanmar, and officials.
