Hanoi Party Chief Pays Tribute to Former National Assembly Chairman Le Quang Dao

On the afternoon of July 24, ahead of the 79th anniversary of the Day for Martyrs and Fallen Soldiers (July 27), Mr. Tran Duc Thang, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, visited the family and paid tribute to the late Comrade Le Quang Dao, former Chairman of the National Assembly and former Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee. This visit is seen as part of the Communist Party of Vietnam's efforts to honor the contributions of leaders who have served the nation and to foster national unity. Le Quang Dao played a significant role in Vietnam's political landscape, and his legacy continues to be recognized. It is customary in Vietnam for the Party and state leadership to visit the families of fallen heroes and veterans on the anniversary of the Day for Martyrs and Fallen Soldiers to pay their respects. This serves to evoke patriotism and respect for sacrifices among the populace, while also demonstrating the Party's leadership and care for its citizens. General Secretary and President To Lam also issued a letter expressing gratitude to contributors and families of martyrs on this occasion. Furthermore, Vietnam is preparing for the 80th anniversary of the Day for Martyrs and Fallen Soldiers next year, formulating plans for related activities.
