The National Unity Government (NUG) -In an Education & Leadership Trip to New York City, PAR Research by Burmese American Community Institute – BACI, youth leaders and researchers met with U Kyaw Moe Tun, Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, at the Myanmar Representative Office in New York. -Pakokku Township People’s Administration under the NUG announced on Monday that civil society organizations which will carry out social work in the area are to contact them and negotiate with them in advance. -The Headquarters of People’s Defence Force published some videos of the attacks via FPV drone on the junta armed forces during operations. -In Aunglan Township of Magway Region, Thayet District PDF Battalion (2) conducted a mine attack on a car of the junta members in Shwe Pan Taw Area. -Under the Ministry of Defence-NUG, comrades from Salin Township PDF and the public organized a grand ceremony of offering Waso robes. -The PDFs have been carrying out public campaigns and services in great momentum throughout the country in accordance with the Four Responsibilities set by the Ministry of Defence-NUG. Revolution Activities -Prior to the 38th year of the 8888 Democratic Movement, umbrella strikes were conducted in front of the International Court of Justice and at some train stations in the Hague, Netherlands. -In Mizoram State of India, the People’s Goal provided basic training on International Humanitarian Law to CDM police and soldiers. -According to Yadanarbone University Students’ Union, 8 members including Ko Htet Myet Aung, leader of non-violent strike and former Chair, were sentenced 37 years in prison by the military junta. -In front of Thai Embassy in London, Myanmar Unity Movement led a protest against the official communication and invitation to the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing. -In Phaungbyin Township of Sagaing Region, heavy weapons fired by the junta army landed in Naungyin Village and Minya Village. Reportedly, 2 local people were injured and 2 cows died. -In London, members of the Myanmar diaspora conducted a Proof of Life campaign for Public’s Leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. -Artist Min Maw Kun conducted his birthday campaign to raise funds for the comrades who have lost their limbs during the Spring Revolution. Through the fund earned, over 100 comrades received prosthetic limbs. -According to Assistance Association for Political Prisoners, up to 66 civilians have lost their lives in 2026 due to the junta’s heavy artillery. Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs) -In Hakha Township of Chin State, a soldier from the junta’s Ka-La-Ya (266), along with weapons, defected to CDF Hakha. The Military Junta -On July 27, Thai authorities issued an arrest warrant to Colonel Saw Moat Thone, a leader of Karen Border Guard Force, under the charges of human trafficking and transnational crimes. -The junta’s Deputy Minister for Home Affairs said that Hsipaw Bridge had to be temporarily closed for security due to the stationing and operations of the MNDAA, TNLA and PDF on the eastern side of the bridge and the remaining village tracts. -The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said the country should prepare for wider use of battery-powered and electric trains as electricity generation expands. He encouraged the domestic production and installation of battery-powered train systems on suitable routes. -The junta’s Yangon Regional Administration was present at the ceremony of offering golden lotus robes to Shwe Dagon Pagoda. -The junta’s Deputy Minister for Electricity and Energy U Kyaw Naing Win said that they have been giving special priority for farmers and MSMEs to be able to buy sufficient fuel. -According to the junta’s Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, there might be heavy rainfall in most states and regions due to a strong monsoon build up over the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal, and due to strong convective clouds. -According to the junta’s Ministry of Hotel, Tourism and Cultures, bronze signs of ancient heritage buildings were placed at the Kambawza Chinchaung Palace and the General Aung San Museum in Bahan Township of Yangon.
