Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Appoints New Leadership for Four Universities

On September 16, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a ceremony in Hanoi to announce the appointment of new Vice Rectors for four affiliated universities. Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy presided over the event. According to decisions by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, four officials have been appointed as Vice Rectors for the universities, each for a five-year term. Specifically, in Decision No. 2288/QD-BVHTTDL dated September 7, 2026, Mr. Truong Dai Luong, former Chairman of the University Council, was appointed Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Culture. In Decision No. 2299/QD-BVHTTDL dated September 8, 2026, Mr. Nguyen Van Long was appointed Vice Rector of Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports. According to Decision No. 2323/QD-BVHTTDL dated September 9, 2026, Mr. Trinh Dang Khoa, former Chairman of the University Council, was appointed Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture. In Decision No. 2322/QD-BVHTTDL dated September 9, 2026, Mr. Le Nguyen Dat, former Chairman of the University Council, was appointed Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Cinema. Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy stated that the personnel appointments were conducted in accordance with current regulations on cadre organization. She emphasized that the strengthening of leadership for higher education institutions has been a focus for the Party Committee and leadership of the Ministry, especially following the cessation of University Council activities. The Deputy Minister highlighted the significant role of this leadership restructuring in the operations of these universities and in developing human resources for the Culture, Sports, and Tourism sector in the new phase. She urged the newly appointed Vice Rectors to appropriately assign tasks based on individual capabilities and strengths, enhance solidarity and unity within the leadership team, and concentrate on fulfilling the tasks assigned by the Ministry and the academic year's objectives. Speaking on behalf of the appointed officials, Mr. Truong Dai Luong, the new Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Culture, affirmed his commitment to strictly follow the directives from the Ministry's leadership. He pledged to work with the university leadership team to build solidarity, enhance responsibility, and successfully complete assigned duties. Mr. Truong Dai Luong also expressed his hope for continued attention and guidance from the Ministry's leadership and cooperation and support from other ministry departments in carrying out his duties, thereby contributing to improving the quality of training and meeting the human resource development needs of the sector.
