Union Minister for Industry and MSME Development Dr. Charlie Than on July 28 met with factory managers and officials at the office of the MSME Development Centre in Mayangone Township of Yangon Region. He urged state-owned and public-private partnership factories to increase production to help stabilize prices, and called on private factories to maintain continuous operations. He stressed the need for market research, cost control, preventive maintenance, and stockpiling raw materials to ensure sustainable production. On the 29, the Union Minister visited the Bicycle Factory (Yangon) and No.24 Heavy Industry (Dagon). He instructed for boosting production, creating job opportunities, and providing training programs to improve workers' skills. The Union Minister also instructed officials to invite expressions of interest (EoI) for leasing unused land to private businesses, aiming to expand production and increase revenue.
