Quran Trampling Incident: Indonesian Women Sentenced to Prison and Ordered to Donate Qurans
Two women in Lebak, Banten, Indonesia, have been sentenced to prison for trampling on the Quran. In addition to their sentences, the court ordered public apologies, religious guidance, and donations of Qurans to local mosques and prayer rooms. The sentences exceeded the prosecutor's demands.
