Cambodia's Ministry of Health has released a list of foods that may worsen kidney stone symptoms. The list includes spicy foods, certain legumes, and high-calcium items, aiming to alert patients.
The Cambodian Ministry of Health has issued a warning to the public regarding foods that may worsen kidney stone symptoms. According to information released by the ministry, the following food groups require particular attention: Firstly, spicy foods should be avoided by individuals suffering from kidney stones. These foods can make symptoms unmanageable and potentially worsen the condition without the patient realizing it. Secondly, certain legumes, such as soybeans or black beans, are also advised against. It is stated that these can negatively impact the condition, hindering symptom relief and potentially exacerbating the problem. Furthermore, foods high in calcium are identified as another category requiring caution. Consuming these items may lead to discomfort after eating. Therefore, it is recommended to avoid them if one wishes to prevent the worsening of their condition. The ministry hopes that by avoiding these foods, kidney stone patients can maintain a better state of health. Source: Koh Santepheap Khmer
