Argentine Researcher Publishes Comprehensive Study on Vietnam's Post-War Development

A comprehensive study on Vietnam's post-war development by an Argentine researcher has been released, highlighting the strong momentum in economic ties between Vietnam and Argentina. Vietnam is currently Argentina's third-largest trading partner in Latin America, while Argentina ranks as Vietnam's third-largest trading partner in Latin America and first in the Southeast Asian market. Bilateral trade is projected to reach $4.5 billion by 2025. The Argentine researcher involved in this study, Poldi, passed away on June 11, 2026, at the age of 80. She was cherished not only by her family, friends, and colleagues in Argentina but also by generations of Vietnamese who knew her as an unwavering supporter of Vietnam. Vietnam is leveraging its rich culinary heritage, positioning food not just as a service for tourists but as a standalone attraction. Furthermore, Vietnam's cinema industry is entering a new phase, with commercial cinema chains participating for the first time in a nationwide free screening program to support political tasks and commemorative activities. This is seen as part of a broader government strategy to deepen Vietnam's cultural heritage, foster international integration, and enhance the nation's soft power. Additionally, Vietnam is proposing priorities in heritage conservation, including strengthening international cooperation, capacity-building for developing countries, and promoting science-based conservation centered on local communities. This demonstrates Vietnam's commitment to expanding its cultural role on the international stage and pursuing sustainable growth and an elevated global standing.
