The Lao government has awarded the Friendship Medal to Jung Yung-soo, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, upon the completion of his diplomatic mission in the country. The medal was presented by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Thongsavanh Phomvihane during the ambassador's farewell courtesy call. Mr. Thongsavanh commended Ambassador Jung's dedicated service since assuming office on November 14, 2022, highlighting his role in promoting cooperation across a wide range of sectors, including politics, security, trade, investment, education, culture, sports, and social development.
