Hà Tĩnh Province Awards 25 Works in Competition to Protect the Party's Ideological Foundation

In Vietnam's central province of Hà Tĩnh, the provincial organizing committee for the "Competition on Political Essays to Protect the Party's Ideological Foundation" held its concluding ceremony and awards presentation on August 6th. The competition saw nearly 10,500 entries, with 25 outstanding works being honored. The top A-prize was awarded to Thái Văn Sinh for his work titled "Ideological Deviation - A Problem Worthy of Alarm." The provincial-level competition attracted a large number of participants from various segments of society, with nearly 10,500 entries submitted across categories including newspapers, magazines, radio, television, and video/clips. Out of 84 works selected by the preliminary judging council for the final round, the organizing committee presented 25 awards: one A-prize, four B-prizes, six C-prizes, and 14 consolation prizes. According to the organizing committee's assessment, the competition drew broad participation from Party members, officials, civil servants, armed forces, journalists, youth union members, retirees, and the general public. The content of the works was rich, closely following new theoretical and practical issues, particularly the Party's major policies and decisions, topics of public concern, and the practical work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation at local levels. Furthermore, the quality of the entries continued to improve, with many pieces demonstrating thorough research, theoretical depth, and practical summarization. They proposed numerous arguments and solutions valuable for protecting the Party's ideological foundation, refuting false and hostile viewpoints, and effectively serving political and ideological education. The competition served as a significant political-ideological activity and a scientific forum, contributing to enhancing the awareness, political courage, and responsibility of officials and the public in safeguarding the Party's ideological foundation. It also aimed to build a core force for combating against hostile ideologies in cyberspace, consolidating public trust in the Party, fostering social consensus, and strengthening the "ideological defense" in the new era. Under Vietnam's one-party system, maintaining the Party's ideological unity and legitimacy is paramount for regime stability and societal progress. Such competitions are viewed as crucial tools for disseminating Party ideology, consolidating public support, and countering dissenting views.
