Cambodia Honors Exemplary Public Service Units in Education and Health Sectors
Cambodia held a ceremony to honor exemplary public service units in the education and health sectors for 2025. Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many, representing Prime Minister Hun Manet, emphasized the improvement of service quality and public trust.
Phnom Penh, July 14, 2026 (AKP Khmer)-- A ceremony to announce the winners of exemplary public service units in the education and health sectors for 2025 was held this morning at the Grand Hall of the Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Center. The event was presided over by H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, and H.E. Professor Chheang Ra, Minister of Health, representing H.E. Dr. Hun Many, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Civil Service, and Chairman of the National Evaluation Committee for Public Service Units, on behalf of H.E. Dr. Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. During the ceremony, H.E. Professor Chheang Ra stated that the evaluation of exemplary public service units in the education and health sectors serves as a sharp catalyst for the success of these two institutions. Specifically, it has enhanced health outcomes and supported health facilities in improving the quality of health services with innovation and inclusivity, while also providing incentives to staff. This has increased public confidence and expectations in receiving healthcare services at public health facilities. Based on these achievements and the political program and strategy of the 7th mandate government, the Ministry of Health encourages all health facilities, including sub-national health units, provincial administrations, national health leaders, and all relevant ministries and institutions, to continue their full participation and support in implementing the evaluation of exemplary public service units. The aim is to collectively enhance the quality of public service delivery, meet the actual needs of the people, and promote the health of the Cambodian population towards achieving universal health coverage, a priority policy program of the government.
