Cambodia Initiates UNCLOS Conciliation for Maritime Dispute with Thailand

Cambodia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Prak Sokhonn announced the initiation of compulsory conciliation under the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) to resolve the overlapping maritime claims dispute with Thailand. Following Thailand's withdrawal from the 2001 MOU, Cambodia aims for a peaceful resolution based on international law.
